Lieutenant Daniel Allen was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago to a single mom, Corrine Allen

Who was a strong parent and woman of God who kept Daniel busy in music and sports and his oldest sibling Loretta Allen, has been like a mom and big sister to him and just an awesome, unsung

Leader to Daniel’s life. Daniel attended Northern Illinois University and was the head drummer for the NIU black choir. Daniel completed his Bachelor's degree at Chicago State University in Liberal Arts and a minor in music. He obtained a Master's degree from Calumet College of St. Josephs in Law Enforcement administration.

He has been working with the Chicago Police Department for 30 years and has received 117 prestigious awards during his career with the Chicago Police.

Department. Daniel Allen is aware that he is a blessed man because he has a strong woman by his side: his wife, Victoria Allen, along with his three beautiful daughters' Danielle Allen, Tamera Allen, and Jada Allen.

Victoria's journey started a little rocky before she entered this world. After six siblings, doctors told her mom the odds are you or the baby may not make it. Her mom said if it came down to that, save the baby and name her Victoria, for she had a purpose to be here. At the age of 25, Divine Purpose was born.

She started with Divine Purpose Dance Academy for praise dance and hip hop in the Chicago Park district.  A year later, my husband, Daniel Allen, and his wife decided to expand and add choir, drama, piano, and drums, and Divine Purpose Youth Performing Arts Center (DPYPAC) was our new name.

Victoria is a mom of three daughters and a student at Ashford University, where she is pursuing a degree in early childhood education.

Our story began with a simple desire: to make the right choices for our families through what we learned from prior experiences.

We were parents searching for safe options but unsure where to turn.

We both enjoyed bringing quality performing arts to youth, and when we thought of the many ways to save our youth in the communities, Divine Purpose Youth Performing Arts Center was born as a result of two people meeting and coming together and meshing ideas.

Today we are growing and looking to expand our performing arts programs and services to reach even more youth and adults for years to come..
